About HKERA
Our Mission
The Hong Kong Educational Research Association (HKERA) is a major non-profit regional education organization based in Hong Kong. Its mission is to connect various educational stakeholders both within and outside Hong Kong for advancing knowledge, generating scholarship, creating societal impacts, strengthening professional networks in education and beyond. Together we strive to build research capacity, connect impactful research with practice and policy in order to improve education and serve the public good.
Who We Are
The Association has a history of more than two decades. It aims to encourage diversity and inclusiveness in all of its activities with members having open access and the opportunity to participate (for example, at annual conferences, meetings and in leadership roles). Through active professional engagement and mutual support, the Association aims to promote high-quality research outputs, knowledge transfer and effective practice in all education fields and disciplines, and with researchers and scholars working at all levels, including those who are in their early academic careers, postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
